Invasive Weed Control

Invasive Weed Control

The spread of invasive weeds is a growing concern for all land managers and one that will become critical in years to come as large areas of the countryside are taken over by foreign invasive weeds.

We are able to control the spread of non-native weeds such as Japanese Knotweed, Giant Hogweed, Himalayan Balsam with stem injection and herbicide spraying techniques.  Wildbanks Conservation hold the required licenses to do so and can apply for Environment Agency permission on your behalf if required. We often use glyphosate based chemicals that become inactive upon contact with the ground.  This and our conscientious team allow us to accurately destroy invasive weeds whilst leaving the surrounding environment unaffected.

Removal of encroaching trees and scrub or wetland vegetation from areas that should be kept clear such as heath, woodland edge, meadows or pond habitat can also be carried out.
